Submarine has to give way for subway!

Five years ago, in 2002, U-434 reached Hamburg. Since then, a lot has happened with and around the vessel. Many hard-working hands and intelligent minds had helped the submarine museum to become a tourist attraction in Hamburg. The former free port became the new HafenCity and was being vitalized by the submarine. Where once no tourist got lost to, visitors came the long way even by foot.
